About Chasing Eclipses

Chasing Eclipses is an independent travel guide for people who want to stand inside the Moon’s shadow, starting with the total solar eclipse of 2 August 2027.

We calculate the eclipse for every place we cover, add what matters for a real trip, such as how to get there, where the Sun will be in the sky and the historical odds of a clear sky, and keep the pages updated as eclipse day approaches.
